Medicare Advantage
Medicare Advantage, also called Medicare Part C, combines the benefits of Original Medicare (Part A and Part B) into a single plan with additional coverage, like dental, vision, hearing, and more.
Medicare Supplement
Medicare Supplement, or Medigap insurance, bridges the coverage gap left by Original Medicare (Part A and Part B) and covers costs like deductibles, copayments, and coinsurance.
Prescription Drug Plans
Medicare Part D Prescription Drug Plans (PDP) work in tandem with Original Medicare (Part A and Part B) and Medicare Advantage plans to provide prescription drug coverage.
Cancer, Critical Illness, Hospital & Recovery Care
These plans offer added financial support for major health events, helping cover costs like deductibles, lost income, and recovery not included in standard Medicare.

Medicare Advantage Plans
Medicare Advantage plans, also known as Medicare Part C, are another way Medicare beneficiaries can receive benefits through private insurance companies.
A Medicare Advantage plan combines the benefits of Original Medicare, Part A (hospital) and Part B (medical), into a single plan. Medicare Advantage plans often include additional benefits not covered by Original Medicare, such as prescription drug coverage (Part D), dental and vision, hearing, and wellness programs. A Medicare Advantage plan can provide lower out-of-pocket costs and flexibility in choosing healthcare providers and services.
When you enroll in a Medicare Advantage plan, you still have Medicare coverage. However, with a Medicare Advantage plan, your healthcare services are managed through a private insurance plan, which usually includes a broker or agent (like us!)

Medicare Supplement
Medicare Supplement or Medigap plans are private insurance policies designed to complement Original Medicare (Part A and Part B). While Original Medicare covers a significant portion of your healthcare expenses, it doesn’t cover everything. Medigap plans cover the costs that Medicare doesn’t fully pay, such as deductibles, copayments, and coinsurance.
These plans provide greater predictability in your medical expenses, which can be especially helpful for those on a fixed income. Medigap policies are standardized by the federal government, meaning each plan with the same letter (like Plan G or Plan N) offers the same core benefits, no matter which insurance company offers it. However, premiums may vary, so it's important to compare options. Unlike Medicare Advantage, Medigap works alongside Original Medicare—you’ll still use your red, white, and blue Medicare card when receiving care.
Prescription Drug Plans
Medicare Part D is a federal program designed to help cover the cost of prescription drugs for seniors. It's an optional plan designed specifically for prescription medications offered to individuals who are eligible for Medicare, and it works with the following Medicare plans:
- Original Medicare Part A (hospital)
- Original Medicare Part B (medical)
- Medicare Part C (Medicare Advantage)
Part D plans are offered by private insurance companies approved by Medicare, and they vary in cost and coverage. Each plan has a formulary—a list of covered drugs—that may differ, so it's important to choose a plan that aligns with your medication needs. While not required, enrolling in a Part D plan when you're first eligible helps avoid late enrollment penalties and ensures you have access to affordable prescriptions when you need them most.
Cancer, Critical Illness, Hospital & Recovery Care
Unexpected health events can be emotionally, physically, and financially overwhelming. Even with major medical insurance, a serious diagnosis or hospital stay can leave you with significant out-of-pocket expenses. That’s where supplemental insurance coverage—like Cancer, Critical Illness, and Hospital Indemnity plans—can offer critical financial protection and peace of mind.
These plans are designed to help cover the costs that health insurance may not—like deductibles, everyday bills, and lost income during recovery. Whether you’re planning ahead or protecting against the unexpected, we’ll help you understand how these benefits work and which options may be right for you.
